ABOUT THE BOAT
The Tornado has a long and interesting history that started in Marysville, WA in 1969. After the building process was finished at Westport Shipyard, she began making trips out of Westport under Ed Besel. She then fished out of Monterey, CA for a number of years before being brought back to her home port of Westport by her new owners. Since 2005, she has undergone extensive amounts of maintenance, repair and refitting to turn her into one of the most well equipped charterboats in her class.

THE CAPTAIN
Captain Dwight Sawin was born with an interest in fishing and an affinity for the ocean. He started out as a deckhand at the age of 12 and fell in love with sport fishing in Westport. He now is the proud owner and operator of the Tornado. He loves his boat so much he proposed to his now wife (Cassie Sawin) on it!
Now they have two littles ones who love to visit dad on the boat and see all the fish everyone caught!
